Shushi dance ensemble astounds with two amazing performances in Orlando, Florida!

Orlando, Fla. - The dancers strode into the hall smiling and beaming with Armenian pride and soon had the crowd on their feet as Shushi Armenian Dance Ensemble's performers delivered yet again another awe-inspiring and emotional production.

Marking Shushi's debut in Orlando, Florida, the show held on January 16th, at Olympia High School was a benefit performance for the under construction, St. Garabed Armenian Apostolic Church in Orlando, Florida.

Under the capable leadership and guidance of artistic director and choreographer, Seta Paskalian-Kantardjian, over 65 dancers participated in a program that was filled with affecting recitations, one of a kind costumes and astounding choreography. Audience members were amazed and thrilled at the quality and professionalism of the dance group.

Later that same evening, Shushi Dance Ensemble had the honor and opportunity to perform at Disney World in Downtown Disney in front of a large and multi-cultural crowd. With pride in their faces and holding the Armenian flag high, the dancers yet again set a precedent with a show stopping performance. Following their debut, the group was awarded Disney's coveted 2010 "Mickey Mouse" award for their magical performance.

The following day, the group was treated to some rest and relaxation when over 140 dancers and family members spent the day at Disney World's Magic Kingdom. As many performers exclaimed, the entire experience was "truly magical"!

The 2009-2010 season marks the dance ensembles biggest and most adventurous to date with memorable performances in Los Angeles, Chicago and Florida, a sold-out 2009 New Year's Eve dinner dance in New Jersey and an upcoming show on March 27th in White Plains, NY to benefit St. Gregory Armenian School. The season concludes with a July 2010 trip when the group will embark on a 3 week Middle East tour with 5 performances in 4 cities...Aleppo, Amman, Damascus and Beirut.
