The Zohrab Center and Armenian Network of Greater New York Region invite you to an event featuring three prominent and respected Armenian jewelers -- Berge Abajian, Hagop Baghdadlian and Hirant Gulian -- who will discuss the jewelry industry and their own experiences in the field. This event is part of the Zohrab Center's new "Armenian Professionals" lecture series. The event will take place in G-Hall of the Armenian Diocese, located at 630 2nd Avenue (at 34th street). This year ACYOA is partnering with the Fund for Armenian Relief (FAR) to focus on FAR projects in Gyumri, Armenia, including renovations at Ounjian School and the FAR Soup Kitchen, which serves the city's senior citizens. A symposium entitled Preventing Genocide through Awareness, Insight and Education will be held at the Fordham University Law School Conference Room 430, located at 140 West 62nd Street in Manhattan. The event will feature a premiere of "The River Ran Red," a film about Genocide survivors by award-winning producer and writer Dr. Michael Hagopian, and a talk by Dr. Michael Bobelian, author of "Children of Armenia: A Forgotten Genocide and the Century -long Struggle for Justice." Dr. Ani Kalayjian, President of Armenian American Society for the Study of Stress and Genocide and Psychology Professor at Fordham will chair the symposium. Refreshments will be served.
